Default FPV BFII Luxury

Just reading the latest Goauto e-news and down the bottom it as a section called the Launch pad. In there is as got all the new cars coming out... Like the Aurion and Mazda 6 diesel, but the thing that caught my attention was it says FPV BFII Range BUT then its got FPV BFII Luxury range. So i think that may answer some questions reguarding Force6 and force 8 Mabey.

Perhaps!

Saw myself a BFII Fairmont Ghia on the weekend. Those headlights look fantastic!
It was a FoMoCo vehicle (metal tag) and the interior was the same as the original shots (nice and black). I can't wait to see what FPV are going to do!

Perhaps taking the GT back to what it was? A go fast Falcon 500.
The leave the Force8 to do what the GT-P does.

maybe they've finally brought out a fairlane variant, or something that would more closely compete with the hsv senator, which the gtp doesn't really, not that i find senators appealing, time will tell I guess

The force 6 & 8 are exactly that . Luxury versions of the F6 and GT. No Changes in power or torque. Only available in 6 speed auto. New features for FPV such as memory seating etc.

a bit of luxury but more performence, if you think about it a GT-P doesnt have huge levels of luxury, the Force 6 and 8 will have leather as standard.

The prices for the Force cars will fall between the GT & GT-P.

Leather standard, Power memory Seat(s), Auto only, different rear wing,
same front & rear bumpers from BF GT, different ICC (not confirmed, might just be different trim colour?),
FPV floor mats standard (same as GT-P), Auto adjusting rear view mirror but no extra power.

My understanding is - Think G220 Fairline in short wheelbase form.

Do you think Force 6 and 8 as FPV would be represented by say Fairmont Ghia Turbo and Fairlane G6T and G8 as Sports Luxury like Territory Turbo and VE Calais V

I would have thought doing the Fairmont Ghia with Boss 260 or 6T would have been a better choice.
(without seeing or knowing full details of the two Force cars)

Even trying the Fairlane with the Boss 260/290 or Turbo 245/270 tick box
would be worth a try.

I'd think long and hard about a Boss 290 powered LWB car!

Whens the release date for BFII? It's sounding saucier and saucier by the week. I wonder whether they'll use Bathurst as a launch stage?

Bathurst this year is going to be all about Brock. The whole theme opf the weekend is going to be all about PB. I don't think ford would use this year to launch a car. But I could be wrong

The VE was released a long time ago my friend. The VESuperCar won't be at Bathurst as it is still under going testing. The BA was not released at Bafhurts : , however the first glimse of the BA V8Supercar was indeed at Bathurst 02 when Dick Johnson did a few laps in a MockUp.

My little cousin can't say Bathurst, instead she says "only 4 sleeps to Bafhurts!" - This is what hapens when I have to babysit. :eclipsee_

I think BFII will be released at Sydney Motor Show next month. I have heard reports of dealers already getting cars but not available for sale until after SMS.

I saw a Red BF2 RTV ute at my local maccas about three weeks ago. No pics unfortunately. The headlights looked crowded, like reflectors crammed in amongst black plastic. The shape of the headlights reminded me of Audi headlights. The grille and bumper inserts looked cheap and plastic-y. The relationship between the bumper-headlights-and grille was very similar to the Focus XR5s treatment. Overall I didnt really like the headlights and bonnet in person. In Charcoal Fairmont Ghia guise however, with bling, it would look alright. Its like Ford have gone back toward the AU styling (particualrly in the bonnet) It is fairly aggressive however.

I noticed this in today's Drive article on new cars.

FPV
A new range-topper is launched in November with tweaks to its other models.

I don't know about you guy's, but I feel that BF MK2 release has been dragged out a long time. You could almost be forgiven for thinking that Ford were going to release an all new car!
