The Agro finally ran a good number on the weekend in the AGRO8 farm ute, with a 10.81 at 133mph in his manual XR8 ute.
This is a great time considering the car is a full weight 2000 plus, pump fuel, 15psi and DRIVEN to the track. The spare was even fitted underneath the rear............ mods are BPR Kenne bell full intercooled kit BPR R spec built engine BPR Custom tune AAV industries fuel system Kenne Bell boost a spark Kenne Bell dual channel boost a pump Nice one mate, and good driving. Cant wait to add some more boost!! Well done to all the other BPR customers who had a bunch of fun on the weekend also!!

Well done Agro, awesome time, especially being a manual.

Hi guys.
It was a long weekend for those of us who stayed at the track. As usual, plenty of laughs on the Friday night. As mentioned, I drove the car to the track Friday arvo, and fitted the slicks and front runners at the track. The car was on the hoist for the last week in preparation for this event. It didn't come off the hoist till 3.30 Friday arvo, so I was cutting it fine. All the car had to do, was back up my talk to beat CAT600 from Perth in his twin turbo! I was having trouble with my clutch spacing air gap, and a quick shim got me within tolerance, but the down fall was, I ended up with way too much peddle travel. I'm working on a stop as we speak, to limit this travel, and will also be removing the box to check clutch wear. The Friday night saw consistant flat 11's, but I wasn't reving it to redline for fear of a few issues I was having. The car was consistant, but the gear changes were not (my fault). I was shifting at 5000rpm. It's the first time I have driven this car and got all the power down to the ground. It was a little different to tell you the least!!!! Come Saturday, Chris said " Agro, just rev it a little higher" to which I did, and took it to approx 5500-6000rpm. The reason I was so nervous, is I'm trying a custom belt setup on my car, and everytime I hit the rev limiter, it would break the belt! So I couldn't take it anywhere near the limiter. Unfortunately because of this and the clutch travel, I had too much on my mind to just sit back, relax and drive! Soooo, with a slightly harder launch, the outcome was the 10.8 @ 133. I got excited and said "that was easy, let me try a little more revs". I staged again and took it to 6000rpm, but unfortunately, buzzed the limiter in second I think, and there went the belt. I was down to my last one, so the day was over. Back at the pits later on, we discovered the water pump pulley had spun along the shaft, and the pulley was jumping the belt on the crank. Too late however, we had depleted our stocks of belts, and really had no way of fixing it to keep racing. I decided to call it a day. We put the stocki rims back on, ready for the drive home. My car is "yes Chris" a farm ute. I have some property, and it gets used to move stuff around, tow trailers, carry motorbikes, fire wood etc (hence the scratches all over it). That reminds me, I must one day vacumn the inside!!! It was raced with my everyday tune on pump fuel, spare, tow bar. It has the 2.8L series supercharger on it. The power and torque is the same as Josh's car with 15lb boost. There is NO advantage in using a 2.8 over a 2.6 at this boost level. A 2.6 will do the same job on my car as the 2.8 done! When I get some time over the next month, I'm going to try set this car up with 20+psi and see what it does. By then, I should have everything sorted, so the outcome should be rewarding! Bring on the Nationals....... Regards AGRO. PS: Thankyou to all who helped work on my car over the weekend. It is much appreciated.

People would have heard the shifts as being slow, however I can assure you paul would have been more busy in the cabin than on a roo shoot. When we can RPM the thing it will be interesting to see the potential, considering the car is on pump fuel and only running baby boost. When we use E85 and at least 20psi and 7000plus rpm, low tens in street trim should be achieveable, and the shifts will be machine gun like. The problem with Paul is that he is a perfectionist and although the 8 rib drive is only necessary for 2% of potential Kenne Bell clients, he is determined to get it right. And if it is anything like the base kit that Paul designed from scratch, it's sure to be a winner. Nice to have another 10sec boss in the stable. Cant wait to get mine ready, and with Josh and Agro, my black ute can come out to play

The car uses a G-Force GF4A 4 speed Clutchless transmission.
The drive to this box is via a McLeod Soft Lok clutch. The clutch is what is doing all the work on the start line. I had to use the clutch over the weekend during shift changes, cause the revs weren't high enough for the box to work 100%. This took up time. When this box shifts like it's supposed to, the gear changes are so quick, you can't even hear them! Regards AGRO.

was awesome to be on the startline with this car. to see it go was insane. i had a shocking weekend. couldnt get it off the line and then either tramped bad into 2nd or headed toward the other lane and had to get off it every time..... times were slow as for me compared to previous. but well done agro and bluepower. this ute is something i can only dream of owning.....
cheers

Wow, impressive launch!
Would love to see this, and Dans AluminaTTor side by side, both with full slicks and front runners... Agros 133mph vs Daniels 134mph - Could be interesting! Even more so with both on 20+ PSI and E85 Congrats on the 10, great work!

Agro, it was top fun on the weekend and I learned a lot of new stuff. Stoked about the 10.8 dude. Congrats again. Spewin I didn't get taken for a pass but understandable with the issues you were having with belts etc. It was an awsome thing to watch heading down the track, pretty wild ride and only gonna get wilder!

Wade brother......
It's a manual shift, and the car has a clutch = manual transmission. Can't get any more manual than that. Na really mate, I got sick of frying clutches and wreaking the 5/6 speed boxes. It's gets very expensive in the end. Al Papitto (USA) put the idea in my head to run this gearbox/clutch setup. I just bit the bullet and bought this box and clutch, so hopefully it can be abussed and I don't have to worry about it! I don't think I got much change out of 10k in the end! Chris said this gearbox setup was no good and I wasted my money when it first turned up, but me thinks the tall great man might have to soon swallow his own words............ Regards AGRO.
