Default Auction past Geelong for heaps of Ford cars and parts

I hope the link works. I saw the P6 at the Geelong Motor Museum and it is very impressive. I am temped to go down just to see what it fetches.

Looks like this guy really loved his Fords.

Ended up at this empty handed today, some of the prices were nuts, $14 grand for a re bodied XB "gt" sedan shell
12 for a p6 which looked in great condition, 71 302 fairlane for 20,ooo also looked the goods.
All prices add 15% auction fees too

I was keen on the XB, until I realised it had JG33 stamped on the chassis, way out of my budget.

Some cars went cheap some a lot more.
Like the bare XW GT shell.

Is this the one that said 15% buyers premium?

So I assume that means add 15% for the auction company.

Yep, add 15% to finial prices so the 20 grand fairlane would have come to 22,500 final price

Did u notice that jg33 on the shock tower had been spot welded in place ?
Car was black, engine bay orange and that section of the tower was green, plus the rear had 1 exhaust exit point

When I went to school $20,000 plus 15% would've been $23,000, but maybe arithmetic has changed in the modern era.

90% of all restored GT's are probably like this
i always wonder how they paint under the VIN plates when its illegal to re-attached a VIN plate for any reason

The reef green XW GT went for 49k. It came with original block and doors. No motor bolt ons, seats or door trims. Cheap buying for a manual windsor car I thought.

I never looked a few mentioned that the block was not original .. The gt club guys looked interested then surprised at the final price,
Tbh I had my eye on the ba gt or fg gtp but I thought the ba went for a little too much at 22,000 & once the fg hit over 30,ooo I'd hit my limit

Did you see it sold for $19k?

It will be interesting if that car turns up for sale with a ridiculous price tag as a genuine GT.

I thought it sold for 14?

Either way not 1 person that I spoke to on the day believed it was a genuine GT, the auctioneer even said there was a donor car / parts from a JG34

I'd not be suprised if it reappears in a year or 2 as a genuine gt
