Hi All,
Just purchased another AU as a work hack, and have noticed the airbag light flashing occasionally. It does 1 flash, then pauses and does another 8 or so flashes after that. Anyone know what this is and how to fix it? Thanks, Justin. |

sort it out taxi style and just put some black electrical tape on the cluster glass over where the light is
NOT was the car sold to you with a safety certificate/rwc and this fault present?

I had a similar problem recently but I'd get 4 flashes then 7. From doing research in the threads already posted in the forum the codes do change between the different series'. I believe 1 then 8 (18) is a Series 1 that has a fault with the drivers side pre-tensioner, either it's been activated or the plug is a bit loose. Mine was the passenger side that has already been activated and needed to replace it.

It's a S2, and I might have got the number of flashes wrong. Will count it again properly next time I drive it. |
