In the original film one of the landspeeders (used for side on tracking shots where the underside was edited out to look like it was floating) was based on a 3-wheeler Reliant Robin/Bond Bug. The 1 wheel front, 2 wheels back (opposite of Morgans) Robins weren’t the best for handling.
