hey all,
Just got back from Autosalon, rather disapointed actually, was a fairly **** poor show this year.. There was a few nice cars there and a few well.. lets just say a very plain looking orange VL with big white rims??? lots of cars like this that shouldnt of been there... This one stood out a fair bit though... and this one only because i like AU's.. |

Wait hold up a sec. Two years ago I wanted to do up my old XF to put into Autosalon because noone has ever really done one up to show standard (I may be wrong). I couldn't do it because Autosalon rules say that only cars made post 1986 could be entered, and thats an XE and they came out before 85. Correct me if I'm wrong though. Have they changed the rules? If they have good on them it gives some old school muscle a chance to enter instead of all these rice boxes 4 cyls. (no offence intended)

Yeh they must have changed the rules, the Mebourne Autosalon a couple of weeks back featured a ZC Fairlane amongst numerous other pre 86 cars

XE looks sweet, especially with the blower.
I'm not sure about the wheels though, too big in diameter for me! Ed |

That XE is tough. Looks so good. The AU isn't half bad either. Nice graphics. Seems to blend in nicely.

that XE is so cool. have to wonder why he hasnt chucked the clear indicators on, they would really suit a silver car.
and he has my seats.

Nice pics ... a mate of mine from work as his "toyota echo blue with silver pearl" Honda S2000 at the show this weekend.
The XE ia very clean ... and I think the wheels look the goods on it as well. Shame the TS50 kit doesn't have the fog lights in the bar to finish it off.

have to admit I wouldn't do the BA like that, can appreciate the time/effort and money puit into it and he must be doing something right as they got a few trophies there.. I don't hate it, except Im not a fan of the light covers.. If ya want an SS looking light then buy one..

What a shocker! This was bound to happen with the BA though considering it's been quite a popular model for Ford, compared to the AU. |

The number plate & the 'P' plate really set it off.
I think he could have mounted them better, otherwise not too bad. Ed |

There is so something not right about that BA. Firstly a p plater with a BA XR8 (looks to be, though has the gt kit), with scissor doors, in NSW. I mean mummy and daddy may have something to do with it, or drug money or something. And yes he has wrecked it with the god damned headlights, what the hell was he thinking.
Sheesh i'm gonna shut up now before i ake up a whole thread of me venting my dislike towards whoever wrecked such an awesome car.

either his olds are filthy rich, or he has got a big fat long debt he will be paying for quite some time! LOL
would have been cool minus the choice of number plate mounting and stupid ugly *** wheels! Rob |

I think he should quietly go commit suicide, and sell the car parts he added that didnt come from the factory.

How would they swing the doors?.. I mean, looks like one hinge & pivot point... a BA door is, well, pretty friggin heavy! If it IS just that point near the top hinge, serious structual stuff must be underneath all this?...
(And MORE to the point, What if it was going backwards at 180ks on a forward moving conveyor?.. would the doors open?)
