Default gtech differences..vs real 1/4 mile

Today my gtech went down a real 1/4 mile...

timeslip on the runs was 60 ft 2.360 330ft 6.635 660 10.106 15.667 1/4

gtech was 60ft 2.379
330 6.654
660 10.224
1/4 15.9

so there you go...gtech isnt perfect but its very good.!!!

I have the gtech pro ss but i shouldve got the rr model which allows download to computer..I think this will now educate a few people who bag the gtech pro without really ever knowing.I know that every mod I get and every mod I do from here on in from anybody will be scrutised by my gtech as authority and I will burn every dyno sheet in front of anyone who tells me I got big improvements when they are lying to me.

Btw the best I ran today was 15.1 1/4 mile with an air temperature of 31 degrees and track temperature of 53 degrees centegrade...My biggest problem was traction ...The back of the wagon must be too light.

60 footer was 2.177

Useless.. time to put the real time into the timeslip database.. and no one can question it cause its a real one.. and not a bad one at that I must admit

Best miles were 90.9 mph but on this run I did a 90.10 mph..

It was the best fun since I can remember..but it was a stinking hot day ...but top fun with terrific company..I did believe a 14.9 was on the cards but t just wasnt going to happen btw XR8UTE blitzed the track today with a 14.2 1/4 mile...well done buddy..It was great with Loweride 260 ,xr8ute Stiddy ,JonBays and xr8ute bro...

It was funny ..atone stage I held a monaro to about 90 kays before he blew my doors off...it was very funny and the guy just stuck his hand out and waved at me..it was a great atmosphere..

I found that launching on the street stickier than the track though.

It was a good day mate. I was very happy to see you rip-off a 15.1 and a bag full of 15.2-15.3's.

No doubt there are some quicker times there wih some more practice, and some cool/dry air....the heat on the track today was killer (just ask my auto trans about it, lol)

From an article one of the car mags did on the G-tech vs Drag, they suggested it was always going to be a faster time on the drag timeslip. This is because to trigger the drag light-beam you have to move forward, so the car is already moving before the timer starts, with G-tech it works on intertia of the vehicle itself, so if the window it is attached to moves with the vehicle there should not be any delay. The vehicle they were playing in was a 911 iirc, and they had a 0.3sec difference too if my memory serves me correctly...

The differences acroos 2 runs were .3 to .6 on the 1/4. However if you do afew runs you can bank that you are very very close...

Dave I know the car has more curry in it but it needs cold air...

BTW the last few blokes were from street machine magazine...we may see our mugs in there...

Thanks guys the old bus went well allright...I cant complain and am certain that many pbs are not done in those extremely hot temperatures except for xr8 ute???Hahah !!

JonBays pulled a pb of 15.4. He should be proud of that and is a top bloke.

People commented that my exhaust was too quiet and I am suspecting a bad catalytic converter.

If by some chance I will run again I will know what I wll do before I get there.

One thing I forgot to mention is that the mph on gtech reads exactly 5 mph slower.

wow that was a hot track...you could be into the 14's an a nice cold day do ya think? Congrats on the run anyway, im a bit nervous going down ther being a first timer, but i would like to know what my girl runs too....knowing my luck i would f up the burn out...but i hear those with street slicks dont bother with em so that could save some embarrassment....you did well to keep with the monaro to 90kms/hr!

Very well actually...but it was only once. Just the thumbs up from the crowd was awesome. The dam edit had my shiftpoint stuffed.Shifts were at 5100 rpm.....I used to have it shifting at 5800-5900 rpm in auto mode before and I think was quicker before with piggyback. If edit people dont like my post well they should contact me and fix the bloody thing.but I am getting a bit beyond it all...

My gtech showed 14.88 and on the track 15.262, it got my hopes up then trashed em. Need more power to get into the 14 sec club
