Urgent help required, I was swapping out the temp sensor for my AU coolant tank and the grommet for the temp sensor disintegrated and I can't find one in NZ.
I dont really want to buy a new coolant tank just for the grommet. can anyone help me please. Thanks in advance. Jason. |

I assume you're referring to the level-low sensor in the high-series coolant tanks.
From past experience, the replacement sensor comes with the grommet (when purchased new as a spare part anyway). But you can buy the grommet separately (on ebay or your local parts supplier) - https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/GENUINE-...L/300566115155 If you need the car driving and can't wait for postage for the above item, you could try a wrecker - even if you get a tank without the sensor, you can still use it, just obviously can't connect the sensor. BUT it's only a low-level warning sensor so AFAIK it won't affect drivability/safety as long as you visually make sure your coolant isn't low (dash may still alert you the level is low). |
