Can anyone tell me where to get new lower intake manifold bolts from to suit our windsor, particulary the ones at the front that have the extension for the coil pack bracket?
Ford says theyre obsolete, and theyre using threaded rod for the front bolts. Would like something a bit better. Pic below is from a "86-95 mustang lower manifold bolt kit" And if im able to source some, is it ok to just remove and replace the front bolts without anything adverse happening to the gasket? |

ARP would do a bolt kit, but the coil pack bolts wouldn't be part of it. Maybe see if Rockauto have the front bolts from an Explorer, cause the AU engine was from that and they sell a lot of bits from those cars. Not sure what year Explorer had that engine though, but their website gives you the option of year and engine type.

from what ive searched on here, 98 explorer is the one
how would a threaded rod even do the job anyway? Do it up by hand, then run a nut over the top i guess. Im glad the broken stud was able to be removed in the first place, but getting a replacement looks to be an issue |
