Taken from the age, lets hope we do not see any more of these.
Oops wrong thread!! A man is in a life-threatening condition after a car skidded across an intersection and struck a petrol bowser in Melbourne's south-east this morning. Four men in a Ford Turbo were travelling north along Westall Road at 1.40am when the driver apparently lost control of the car, which went sideways across all lanes at the Princes Highway intersection. It appears the car then hit a pole, flipped and struck a petrol bowser in a service station at the north-east corner of the intersection. The bowser ignited but a nearby truck driver quickly put the fire out with an extinguisher. A back-seat passenger was taken to hospital in a life-threatening condition while a second passenger and the 24-year-old driver were also taken to hospital with injuries. A third passenger fled the scene but police found him behind a bin in nearby Renver Road. All four men are believed to be in their early-to-mid 20s. Members from the Major Collision Investigation Unit will investigate. The Age Last edited by cooper78; 29-06-2007 at 09:49 AM. Reason: Wrong Thread |

Happened just after midnight, no-one was trapped but it was a messy scene.
This happened around the same time when a car flipped on it's side in Clarinda and a car with person trapped happened in Moorabbin. One would allege that this XR6 turbo was making pace down the 'track' between Wellington & Westall Roads, soutbound on Princes highway. Hope a lesson is learnt here.

Whos stupid enough to hide behind a bloody bin? Walk down some quiet streets slowly without looking suss and call someone to pick you up. I know he shouldnt have hid or ran, but unless he hit his head hard enough in the crash he wasnt thinking very well.

Yep young men in there mid 20's. Anyone want to guess why this age group is being 'picked on' at the moment. There is only so much stupidity than can be legislated against.

note they have to specify turbo to make it seem as though its a young person in a high performance car when not all turbo cars should be classified as performance car specially xr6t

I hope I haven't missed any thing, but could it have been stolen? Hence high speeds and the third person fleeing.

another highly stereotypical bs article, you can't really comment at all on the situation as there is only four people who know the facts. last time I crashed my "Ford" there was a BS article written all about it
