it is a Mondeo, not the Falcon
It is a Everast, not a Territory.

Why do I get a sinking feeling that the Falcon is going to receive bugger all advertising...surely they could have had the FGX in there.

Sure its not a new model, but nor is the Mondeo really.....maybe the better question is why wouldnt you?

The lack of advertising debate has been done to death on here. Ford HQ don't care about Falcon. It is still around because Ford need to for fill obligations to the Federal Govt as a result of grants and funding. The less Falcons and Territories Ford sell and the more Mondeos's, Mustangs and Everests the better. It justifies their decision and helps the transition to a full import company.

We (the Falcon Fans) are clearly the minority in this country.

Any Ford ad is good tho and many will think that was a Falcon so perhaps it might help.

Why advertise the Falcon anyway, they don't need to increase sales...just bob along. The Falcon will sell simply on its own merits alone. What's important to Ford is gaining momentum on the products that will be soon sold here, those products are the ones that need to do well and increase market share.

I guess that confirms the look for the Everest, we've all seen the Mondeo/Fusion & Mustang.
The new Falcons will probably be parked at the back of the yard :-(

Well for once the marketing is being proactive.
Before any of these are on sale their ensuring the market is well aware of the new products and who it is that is selling them.
Identification is the first step then throw all the stats, awards, etc at the customer once they know what the product is.

Well the advertisement was about guess who's coming. So it was never about the Territory or Falcon. Was always going to be about the new cars coming to Australia

Ford have certainly lifted their game with advertising lately. I think thats a great ad. The $200 test drive challenge is good as well. They seem to have Toyota squarely in their sights!

Good advertising, looks like a good future for us and I hope we dont have issues recur over generations like the falcon diff bush. Hopefully being 'one ford' the US lemon laws will keep them in check.

Also the proactive advertising really highlights how little Ford cared about pushing the falcon. The really did want it to die, more profit.

Sad to see the falcon go, but how long has it lasted, will be missed.

The Everest look had already been confirmed when they showed the concept at their Go Further event in Sydney

That $200 challenge references the Mazda 3, so they are certainly aiming high!

Yes I've seen those images before, same colour even..
But I thought it was a concept, quite different to the videos and test drives done in the cars.

There's no point advertising unless you want to break a new product into the market, or increase a products' share of the market.

Fomoco aren't/can't/don't need to do either with the FG X.

That commercial looks very inexpensive to me, whoever looks after Ford Oz's advertising would've pieced it together from supplied global vision (another reason to have a consolidated global lineup of products)

This is an excellent campaign. Will give them a great indication of where their brand recognition is at here in Australia.

I thought the same thing, just pieced together, and IMO a waste of time until the cars are actually available.

To be clear I meant inexpensive in a good way, many of Ford Oz's competitors just import really nice attention grabbing TVCs. Moving forward they'll be able to do the same (more than ever) A shame for our local industries but Ford needs to be competitive globally.

And it's not necessarily a waste as it could encourage buyers to hold off on a purchase and wait for these.

Yeah don't buy another car that's as good and some that might be better now, we've got some other ones coming along - we can't tell you exactly when or how much - but they're coming.

Ridiculous.
