Default Fairlane brake light problems

Have a problem with an NA fairlane where the break lights wont work, not the fuse, bulbs or the switch as all are new. If i run a new power wire to the switch the light work in reverse, ie. lights on when pedel not pushed, go out when the pedel i pushed. I am completly lost and can only put it down to a wireing problem only still cant find any problems in the wiring. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers,
Luke
