Hi all.
Topic is obvious and this can include road cars, race cars, off road or prototypes. The one car that stands above others in your mind. Mine is the original GT40. To see one in person (years ago...in gulf colours) just blew me away. Of course there is no right or wrong so let's make it a positive discussion. Yours? |

1967 Bizzarrini 5300 GT Strada, i found out about this resently though j. leno,s vidoes. and i think wow, i love the old Italian cars. in fact this car was designed by the ex-ferrari designer Giotto Bizzarrini, after the"big ferrari walk out". i think beautiful is a good description of its styling.
google pictures don,t do it justice imo. however j leno,s camera man has done a good job capturing its form. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6nwvmbrheVg |

Can't argue with that, although I prefer the modern day version.
Look at that ***! And it has the be the pre-facelift version with the more upright headlights.

Beauty is definitely in the eyes of the beholder and for me the ultimate have for the most part come from the coachbuilders of old that specialised in the Art Deco style of design, these guys built there reputation on supplying individuality to those that could afford it, a great era in the world of the automobile were the freedom of design was only limited to your budget.....
Old........hard to pick one as there are so many but probably something from Delahaye like this Delahaye Saoutchik built for Diana Dors, sitting in the car in the B/W shot... Modern.......probably the Bugnotti. Most coachbuilders disappeared years ago but thankfully there are a couple of people like the guys who built this are still willing to give it a go.
