Well, we see it every time a new model is released. Back when every bogan had an xf, out came the ef, and suddenly the ea came out of the woodwork, they were everywhere, now that many BA's prowl the streets, im seeing more and more EF/L's coming out of nowhere.
Perhaps the previous owners of these cars always have them garaged or at work, and every couple of years they get sold off to blokes like me, who drive them around all day and night. Thoughts? Did that make sense?

I traded my EF II for a BA XR6T and traded that for an EL!
Full circle. I like my EL. Cheap to run (In comparison to BA XR6T), comfy, climate control and you don't care where you park it. It's slow but I don't mind. It gets me to work and around, thats what a car is for. I have had my fun for a while in the T, now its time to save money instead of spend it! |

Did that make sense? Not really.
My theory is that cos the BA's are so popular, the younger guys on their P's or whatever want to buy Ford again, hence they buy the EF's and EL's cos they're the most affordable now.

I hear Ford had a few EF/ELs stored up the back of the Broady plant and have just let them loose.

okay, i knew some1 would have to be a smartar$e. im aware they arent making them anymore. its just something ive noticed, everytime a new model is released, the bogan model ("dunga") model moves to the next one. maybe its a location thing? ive seen twice as many ef's getting around up here in the past year

You mean you've noticed them twice as much! There would have been more on the roads when they were being used as fleet cars.

just a thought, being a warm northern area, maryborough is where old people (usually from nsw) go to die. perhaps the same aplies to old falcons?

for shame, running red lights. a bit off topic, but at a guess, how many red light camera's are in your town, maryborough has 3 permanent

Im sure it's all based on price, however, after the release of the BA, and thus ford becoming 'cool' again, i've seen alot more p-platers in fords. Most p-platers budgets don't stretch beyond an e-series.

Trying not to sould like a smart-*** or a snob, but your theory sounds correct to me .. ELs are at a cost now where low-income earners can buy them. These low-income earners (students, unemployed, pensioners, etc) are usually around during the day when most people have their newer cars either sitting at home, or in carparks while they are at work.
I walk around between offices alot during the day and I've seen SO MANY VN-VR Commodores sitting outside the local dole office it ain't funny!!! |

Admittedly im biased, and will always think ea-ef falcons look better than commo's, but I think it has a lot to do with p platers thinking there stocko vl with sh!t mags is the best car ever, makes me dislike them on principle. Anyway, I guess when the next falcon is released, au's will start flooding the steets up here

getting much more of an even spread between E-Series Falcons and VL-VS commos for P Plater these days. i was in year 12 last year, and it was almost 50-50 between Ford and Holden with male drivers. the year before was probably 85-90% Holden. thats just an example that im using.

yes its the same here where i am as well . i started to see a lot of E-series around here over the last year or so . and i see a lot of dented and rusted ones ( like 1 of mine ) that younger P platers want to buy and clean up
The time is good to buy a EA - ED here they are cheap and they will keep going if you look after them |

The problem with the majority of commies and falcons is every man and his dog has the exact same car.
I cannot tell you how many VLs i see that are slammed on their ***** with cop chasers but apart from that they are mostly in bad nick Then these "bogans" drive around the same place back and forth everyday thinkn that their car is something special when its just the same boring thing all over again. Same with VSs. Some guy has a beefed up VS SS and all he does is drive back and forth to the petrol station at least 3 times while im at work nearly everyday. Same goes for E and X series falcons. Rather boring when everyone has got the same crap on the same car. Id rather add my own touch and be different from the pack. Just my oppinion. |

i'm happy to have the same car as everyone else, but do it up in my own way.
u can't doubt that falcon's are a cheap car for what u get!

Its not really so much the same car its just a lot of people do the same stuff to it rather than make it their own and then people who go do laps thinking its the bizniz lol.
