Default How long does it take you to get up to 100ks from a standstill in your eseries?

As the title says...

Uh.. round about 10 seconds EF XR6 Manual (no revs built though) I think I have a slow car!!!
It has 210 on the clock, a KN air filter, 2'5 exhaust, and extractors.

List your mods (if you have any) too.

Yeah..that's what I thought it should be too.
Private road---Best run out of 4- No revs built prior to takeoff...
0-80 is about 6secs- 0-100 about 10secs.

No wonder it takes so long.... your changing gears too early, esp 2-3, and taking aaaggggeeess to shift.
Theres no wheelspin at all there.
I'd say my EF would be around 6 seconds - extractors, exhaust, 1673, ripshifter, stock 3.08 diff tho.

Roughly 1.5 seconds for me... When dropped off a cliff :P

I have no idea, but considering my best 1/4 mile is mid 17 seconds I'm not sure I'd want to know the 0-100km/h time lol

Okay then, I'll have to have another crack at it...Question though..is it safe to take the revs into the red area? Any other pointers...VERY used to driving an auto, all cars we've had were auto except for the very first one I learnt to drive in 16 yrs ago- so am slightly out of touch with the manual.

http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=m-7cm_mNHf4

Come on!! What are some more times? and out of curiousity...how fast should a stock auto BA xt be around (0-100)?

Mr 4.0L
i dont think u know wat ur talking about mate
why is it BS?
coz urs has a limiter and the ea didnt?
or is it because the ea had a fully balanced bottom end?
or could it be that u just dont know what ur talking about mate?
so i think u better make sure u know wat ur actually talking about mate before u get a to bigger head

what cam are you running to get to 8000rpm?

My XG ute (EBII motor) takes about 8 to 9 seconds. Thats with LSD, extractors, exhaust and chip. I cant see them doing 7.5 stock, My BA runs just quicker than that and its a crap load quicker than any stock E series car

wouldnt have a clue mate to as wat cam. but it does have one in there
im not saying the car loved revving out to 8grand but it did do it. no dbout that there is gona be some issues in the block but it did rev out and would almost every day for 2 years.
i got the car pretty moddified, engine wise it just needed a beter head on it to make some serious power for na.
the bottom end had a fair bit of work done and accordint to the previous owner ( my cousin a ford enthusiast who owns 2 mock up xygt's and a ef xr6) the bottom end had just under 3k spent on it but then ran out of money to do the head properly. and thats when i brought it
i know that he has taken his ef xr6 past 6 k( has had the ecu remapped or something) i know it goes past 6k and keeps pulling
so to say its b/s is just being thick headed

yeah but 8 is still a fair way from 6 thou.. I believe it will go past 6, but I cant see 8 without some major head and cam work.. Not saying BS, just very unlikely

beating a VY s pack is nothing special, not hard to explain that. However a stock BA over the quarter is quicker than any stock E series (besides late XR8's). Take off the EL's would be quicker due to lighter curb weight. Where did you race them? On the street or quarter?

Must say I'm surprised how long this thread has lasted.

Don't think we need to get into street racing...
