Wednesday night Race 4 Real off-street meets continue to be one of the most popular events on the Sydney Dragway calendar and it’s quite easy to see why!
Here are some great performances from last week’s Race 4 Real at Sydney Dragway. Top Holden of the Week Definitely no stranger to a good smoke show, this blue VX Commodore looked as good as it sounded and packed some serious performance to match. That massive hood cowl, a hint at the kind of immense horsepower lurking within this Commodore’s engine bay. Top Japanese of the Week The GT-T Skyline is often overlooked against its GT-R counterpart, offering RWD instead of AWD and the RB25 single turbo setup as opposed to the GT-R’s RB26 twin-turbo powerplant. However, they’re definitely no slouch, packing loads of potential. Take this silver R34 for example, running a seriously impressive best time of 11.72 @ 133.38 MPH. Top Rotary of the Week Little cars burning fat sets of rubber are always a welcome sight here at Sydney Dragway. This green monster of a Mazda R100 put on a show, sounding mental and managing an insane best time of 10.70 @ 128.51 MPH. Top European of the Week When it comes to making go-fast SUVs, Mercedes-Benz definitely knows a thing or two. Take this ML63 AMG for example, running a best time of 12.12 @ 115.17 MPH – mind-blowing performance out of an SUV. Top Ford of the Week Cracking into the 10s with a best run down the strip of 10.82 @ 134.52 MPH, this FG Falcon proved itself to be an absolute beast of a performer. And those plates? A sign of things to come for anyone who dares to test their own machine against it. Commentator’s Pick of the Week It’s clear that a lot of time and effort has gone into EH Holden and it’s most definitely paid off, being one of the best presented examples we’ve seen down here at Race 4 Real. And with a best time of 12.56 @ 116.93 MPH, you can be assured that there’s much more to this build than that beautiful exterior. Race 4 Real is on every Wednesday night at Sydney Dragway, weather permitting. Keep it safe, legal and off the streets! Gates open at 4:30PM and racing starts at 6:00PM. Check our website for T&C’s and entry information. Next Race 4 Real is this Wednesday October 26, 2016. See you there!
