Default Delocking How To

If your like me and havnot once inserted the key into the lock and just used the remote all the time this is a simple and easy mod. Some of you might of seen the pics when I posted up my car. The part number is 2S61A218B08AF from ford it cost me $5.90. If they cant find it tell em its part of the 5dr rear handle.

Heres what I did. Should only take you about 5 mins to do.

Parts
Left one is the bezel that come with the car you can see the hole for the lock. Right one is the bezel I ordered from ford no hole for lock.

Step 1
Remove the little tab in the center of the bezel (located inside the white circle) you can see in this pic I allready snaped it off with a chisel. If you dont remove the tab it wont fit over the lock barrel.

Step 2
Undo this screw. It holds the bezel in place.

Step 3
Remove the bezel you might need to pull the handle out abit to do this. But guys dont pull to hard or the whole door handle will come off. If it does your in deep doggy do do....hehehe nah not really what u need to do is push the rod inside the door down. It should lock into place then just re-insert the door handle.

Step 4
Place the new bezel over the lock and scew back in the screw you removed in step 2. And your finished. should look like this pic below. You dont need to remove the lock barrel the bezel covers it fine. Making it really easy to return it back to normal if you like.

There is always the boot if it does fail. I haven't had any trouble with mine yet.
