Default Shell V-Power WTF!!!!

Sorry if this is a repost, did a quick search and I couldn't find anything. Went to Shell on the way to work this morning and noticed that there are no Optimax pumps there, they've all been re-labeled V-Power or V-max, one of the two I can't remember it's early. Spoke to the attendant and he said that Shell has dropped the Optimax name and as of the start of next month they will all be called V-Power. Looks like Optimax wasn't Australia's favourite premium unleaded.

a mate of mine was a manager at shell until 3 days ago. yeah they're renaming it all v power (use that name in Europe) and also using different colours for it on them pump.

still the same mixture as optimax, although optimax extreme is gonna be changed as they've had people complaining about the fact it has ethanol in it.

It's changed from blue to red, also I noticed that the servo that I went to didn't have any pumps for the 95ron premo, it always used to.

Shell has been using V-power name overseas for years. Watch the f1's and you'll see the advetising board for Shell V-Power

Not according to the Shell blurb. They claim it is a new formula and different to Optimax. They had brochures at my servo this morning explaining all the changes (Shell on Nepean Hwy near North Road. Melbourne)

It's now V Power here in Ballarat, and it is apparantly different to Optimax. Shell website http://www.shell.com/home/Framework?...t_ga_1602.html says so. Might go try it.

Notice today that Optimax Extreme is now called V-Racing at my local and is still 100 octane and has 5% ethanol.

I got 171.6rwkw on the dyno running it so it isn't that bad.

Hmmmm. You dont think that your mods could of had something to do with that figure. After having two different cars run on it and put on the dynos, they have both ended up with better figures on ULP.
