Default Cost to replace turbo

I have a 2009 MB diesel Mondeo and was advised turbo is leaking oil and needs replacing. Has anyone been down this path who could advise approx. cost please (parts & labour)?

Leaking oil from where? The turbo itself or it's oil feed?

My son was advised the same by a regular mechanic and after taking the vehicle to a turbo specialist just needed new seals.
