Default Cheapest way to transport an exhaust?

I'm looking at buying a complete exhaust system for my XR8 but the system is in NSW and I'm in Vic. Is there a cost effective way to do it? Problem is I don't know dimensions or weight... It is a full setup including extractors, cats and tailpipe.

Perhaps ask to break it into the smallest pieces possible and strap it to a pallet? See if you can get it sent depot to depot.

Is this through a store or a private sale?

I've used e-go a fair few times for other parts (not exhaust). http://www.e-go.com.au/home.do

If you can get them to break it down as above and give you approx measurements and weight you can use the online calculator to get a quote.

Or if you are in no hurry, could always see if there is a trusted member doing the trip soon that may have room - might get lucky at this time of year, and then sling them some of their petrol money or fix them up some brews

I think manta exhausts used toll when I bought my exhaust from them was less than 200 bucks from WA to QLD.

I bought a turbo exhaust 2 years ago, from a different state. I posted a thread in the forums here to ask if anyone was doing the run from Vic to NSW. By sheer luck, someone was close to where the exhaust was located in Vic and coming close by my place in NSW and so I gave him $50 for him to colect it and drop it off.

It was luck and good timing, but it's worth a shot. I know if I was going close on a trip, I would be happy to help a fellow FFAU member out
