Default My Kingdom For A Zetec - Part 3 - Some Questions

Picked up the car last Saturday its great :1syellow1
Can't imagine it without a spoiler now, it looks ace
Scuffies also look good against the black paint
Some questions for anyone out there...

Q1. Is everyones bonnet release on the passenger side of driver?
Q2. The underbonnet of my fez is only grey undercoated not fully painted?
Q3. There is a "reset" button on the end of left hand stalk which apparently serves no function?
Q4. In the owners manual there appears to be a way to make window go down automatically (ie one touch) but I'm stuffed if I can do it, or is that for a different model?

3. I've no idea
4. I've no idea

Enjoy the Fiesta! And the spoiler does look good, just adds that extra flair.

3: You may have a focus stalk as they have a reset button on the end. Would be cost-cutting

John, my WQ Zetec is White as you know and mines painted under the bonnet, I wonder if it's only the "Premium Colours" not being painted under-bonnet such as Tonic and well, pretty much everything else apart from Black and White ones?

I thought black was a "premium" color as well as its metalic. Red and White are the only basic colors IIRC

Response to responses...thanx guys

1. Ok, fair enough

2. Ok, seems to be some consensus that some are painted & some are not, panther black is a premium colour its metallic, so not surprised a colour eg white is also painted underneath......maybe they don't paint the WQ's so they can afford to put in all the extra gear over the WP model, haha :-P

3. Its on the indicator 'stalk' but dont think its from a focus as they are built in south africa!?!? Mystery

4. Ok, doesnt sound like thats gonna work then

"True" (sorry my mistake).........it's only White that's a standard colour........"seeing as Red is not available on the WQ Zetec!!"

Well ok, the xr5 is built in germany, all other focus' for the aussie market are built in south africa. Can't see how putting a focus stalk on a fiesta is cost-cutting. Is there nobody out there who has a re-set button on the end of the left hand indicator stalk in their fiesta zetec? Hard to believe its a one-off!?!!?!?!?!?

Putting a focus stalk on a fiesta is cost cutting because they only have to produce 1 kind of stalk not 2. The factory could also have run out of Fiesta stock wen your was built so used Focus ones instead.

couldn't find a reset button on the indicator stalk. pictures would help if you're able.
While we're there, the mode button on the stereo remote. while in AUX holding it in will change to radio & then to cd but then it stops doing anything. Nothing in the manual about it at all. any ideas?

Thanx Kiwi, I will try that once I pull my finger out & get around to it :-)

Checked a WQ zetec in the street the other day & it doesn't have a reset button either so looks like the factory have maybe stuck in a euro spec one by mistake, dont think its from a focus. Im gonna take it up with the service dept when I take it in for the 3000k, it doesnt effect anything its just weird...

In the UK, facelift cars (06 model year onward) with trip computers have a reset button on the lefthand stalk.
