Exclamation Problem with clock light

Hey guys, when i go to turn the key to accessories, the clock light comes on, but then when i start the car the light goes off, if i tap the area around the clock the light then comes on? I don't understand why it's doing this as it's a brand new bulb. Anyone know what might be causing this?

Cheers.
