Can anyone tell me if all 1997 Farimonts had LSDs, and if so, were they 3.45
Got some dude selling his who doesnt have a clue and rather go look at it and it be a single spinner, i was wondering if somebody could clarify this. CHEERS...

3.23 and LSD was an option...

so by option you mean not all of them have them...
Which EL Fairmonts had the 3.45 in them?? I seen a couple who are wrecking theyre cars which have 3.45s...

may as well drive the hour each way and go have a look i think... Any way in telling tickford bits??? because you wouldnt believe it, the tag isnt there.

If it's a Ghia it will have 3.45 LSD. If it's an option, you can try turning one side by hand and having another person on the other side watch/try and stop it moving to check if it has LSD I think?? But I could be totally wrong LOL!!

well its not a ghia... so i wont worry about it i think...
thanks for the replies guys. He said he wants $150 so i thought id get a bargain. Even if its a 3.23 LSD i think ill grab it, just wanted the 3.45s though. Anyhoo, we will see what happens.

if it's a 3.45 ratio it will take 3.45 rotations of the tailshaft to spin one wheel 360 degrees. As X Rated mentioned to check if it's lsd jack the diff and if both wheels spin the same direction it's LSD, if they spin opposite directions it's a SS.

LSD will have a metal tag on the diff saying it is LSD...
