Default Expression of interest in a attending Muscle car Masters

Dear Members

We have had a member offer to organise an optional club function and we request an expression of interest.

The dates involved are the 5th and 6th of September.

The main display day is Sunday.Admission is $40 Sunday or $55 both days.

Jetstar are doing flights Laun. - Sydney - Laun. for $75 to $79 one way with carry on bags.

Formula 1 Motel Wentworthville is 10 klm's from the track and is $84/ night (queen & single bunk).

Ideally we are talking about out Friday and back Monday although it’s possible to do out Sat in Sunday night.

Personally I have heard nothing but praise for this event and on the motorsport calendar it is starting to achieve must do status.

What I need is an expression of interest to see if we have the numbers to support Lewis in his offer to organise this event on our behalf.

On behalf of the committee I wish to acknowledge Lew for this offer. The committee is always grateful to members putting forward club function ideas.

I could possibly do this. Might do a little more research to see what contracts are on at work around that time.
My initial thought is a fly out friday night and possibly fly home sunday night ready for work on monday.

Hmmmm Road trip. If I hadn't just done similar I would be there, but yet funny enough it’s still tempting. Don’t really have a muscle for the journey though. Shotgun perhaps

I will know definitely what I can do on Monday.

What sort of time frame were you thinking for a drive trip Andrew?

Yes and no. The day I intended to look at the TS didn't happen and when it did, on the following Monday, it was late evening, so I didn't bother you.

When you put it like that what’s two days. I think this might be plan A and plan B will be that thing in the sky.

What’s up with Tim’s Avatar. That mirror in the camera must be broken!

Moffat and French celebrate GT-HO's 40th birthday at Eastern Creek
If you're a die-hard Ford motorsport fan, you'll probably want to ink September 6th 2009 into your diary.

This date marks the 40th anniversary of the first touring car win by what is arguably Australia's most famous muscle car, the Ford Falcon GT-HO.

To celebrate the four decade milestone, Allan Moffat and John French will be at the Muscle Car Masters at Eastern Creek Raceway near Sydney on the 6th of September.

Both Moffat and French will be teamed up with their 1969 GT-HO Falcon, which took them to victory at Sandown in that same year.

For more info on the Muscle Car Masters at Eastern Creek, check out the official website.
