Does anyone have an Au in the color Sandstone? Im pretty shure its a metallicy type dark browny color.Im chasing up the color to paint a project but cant find pics on the net anywhere of Au's in this color?

damn i know the colour your talking about (Sand Storm, i think), in fact theres a AU3 SR for sale just up the road in it.
* EDIT Ive found a photo on the net of a car in it- It looks crap in the pictures, but the AU's ive seen in it look bloody good in real life; its infinately better than Organza or Armaretto or Metorite http://search.carsguide.news.com.au/...&vehicleType=1

I did see a fairmont in it one day- really caught my eye, I hadn't seen it before and haven't seen one since

was a special colour available on 75th anniversary models IIRC, it is darker than organza and amaretto, hard to describe without a pic.

ive only ever seen 1 Au with that colour and it looked good. always attracts my attention when i see it.

yeah it seems only the 75th anniversary futura, ghia etc were available with that colour (AUII) back in 2000...

I saw a fairlane this colur today, was very classy. They had a similar colour on the E46 M3. |

Thanks guys,it was definately Sandstone that i was after.I was trying to explain to my mate at work who was looking through colour cards at a description i told him.
And have you ever tried googling Sandstone!!! Cheers looks like thats the colour il be going with for my Valiant that was originally afew shades lighter in a colour called Moonstone Metallic. |

So that's what it's called. Sandstone. We seen one last week in Werribee. It really caught my eye because I had never seen an AU in that colour and thought it looked unusual. Interesting....

It's a great colour indeed. Classy, very classy.
I love those 75th Anniversary editions, especially the Ghias, but IIRC they didn't come out with that colour. I thought it was just the Futuras, but I stand to be corrected. LOL! In any case, an awesome looking colour. GK
