Weekly Race 4 Real Report: June 15, 2016

Wednesday night Race 4 Real off-street meets continue to be one of the most popular events on the Sydney Dragway calendar and it’s quite easy to see why!

Here are some great performances from last week’s Race 4 Real at Sydney Dragway.

Top Holden of the Week



Cracking the 11 second bracket with a best run of 11.86 @ 119.86 MPH, this VZ Commodore certainly had more to it than met the eye.

Top Japanese of the Week



This relatively stock-looking Lancer Evo IX demonstrated the immense capability of the legendary Evolution moniker and it’s 4G63 power-plant, launching down the strip to a best time of 12.03 @ 118.18 MPH.

Top Rotary of the Week



This blue FD3S RX-7 looked the part with a body-kit straight out of the 90s. It had the go to match, managing a best run of 14.14 @ 107.54 MPH with that big GT wing keeping it planted to the asphalt the whole way down the strip.

Top European of the Week



The Porsche Cayman is the baby of the Porsche line-up, but that doesn’t mean it can’t run with the big boys. This particular S variant proved just that with a best run of 12.73 @ 110.69 MPH.

Top Ford of the Week



Another AU Falcon for this week, this blue XR8 ran a best time of 11.97 @ 118.49 MPH with not very much on the outside hinting at the kind of power this example possessed under the bonnet.

Commentator’s Pick of the Week



This murdered-out FG G6E Falcon was a menacing sight to behold, thundering down the quarter to a best time of 11.83 @ 128.36 MPH.
