that will sell very well
Tipping the wildtrack X with V6, blistens & tyres will have quite a queue. Might even convert a few from the 300 series landcruiser (if silicon is available). |

Certainly fixed up the rear end tail lights. Should be a winner when fitted with the V6 and look out Prado!

Hopefully this model doesn't need adblue or there will be a lot scratching it from their lists after recent events.

I think all diesel passenger vehicles need it, the Utes don't.

not when the 2nd gen was released in 2015 with the 2.7L but there has been a couple of upgrades and they should have it now.

Ah yea, my parents one is a few years old now. Was one of the reasons they chose it over the everest at the time.

From the below link it seems none of our Toyotas have it..
https://www.drive.com.au/news/dont-p...-in-australia/ The current Everest is the only Euro5 car I could find that has it..

Back end looks like it will be a winner... Assuming the V6 Diesel makes its way into it (would seem a foregone conclusion) this will be a winner in the sales race... And in 3 years time a viable replacement for wifey's sorento... We loved our capable Grand Cherokee V6 Diesel, this will definitely be a walk up starter for us...

Where is the Bronco DNA?
We are not getting the Bronco and I am not seeing any of the gear they developed for the Bronco on this. Where are the 35" Wheels and GOAT Mode ect. Have the 4X4ers been left out?

A lot of that has been cured in the new Everest plus the front overhang is a lot less. I’m liking the vibe of this, it’s more of an off-road Territory than a Bronco replacement and that’s because Everest is going after Prado end of the segment, not Wrangler….. Know your buyer, know your market. |

One of my work mates at school is collecting their new Everest Titanium about Wednesday next week . They ordered it a couple of months ago . It's in Tasmania at the dealership being fitted with the updated bull bar she said and having all the obligatory pre delivery jobs done ..They're trading in a big kays Territory on it built in 2015 ..Looking forward to seeing it ..

Expecting some of the more extreme options available in Bronco is a bit unrealistic, those big 35” diameter tires are not going to work with that shaped wheel arch but Raptor’s 32” tyres might and an evolved version of terrain control is definitely on the cards. Not sure about the 7-speed manual rock hopper gearbox for our Ranger or Everest but would be interesting in a more devoted off road model. |

Front diff lock and swaybar disconnect would be awesome.
Prado has had the latter for a long time.

What's the current boot width (assuming the new will be 50mm in line with the track increase)? Anyone know the boot length with 2nd/3rd row folded down? Trying to decide which will be more practical ... ranger or everest, but all they report is the litres rather than the length/width :/

Pretty sure the Prado only has a center diff lock from the factory. Which is no different than engaging 4x4 high on a vehicle that has no center diff. The front and rear diffs remain open.

Now I understand what Ford has done with benchmarking NG Ranger / Everest against the competition,
instead of just looking at Hilux/Fortuner/Prado, I suspect that there was a subtle shift to Tacoma/Prado. That move in focus to those slightly wider and roomier competitor vehicles is important here and in the US. Offering more space in vehicles that now command up over $60k for most popular versions is absolute gold. One of Everest’s perceived short comings was the noticeably less hip and shoulder room compared to Territory, I’m hoping that the measures Ford has implemented will give buyers that feeling of greater roominess….. How do people see this playing out... will the new model be about the same price, and current models get discounted? Or the new one will be more expensive, and current models don't get discounted?
The dilemma: Considering getting an Everest 4WD, probably a 2 litre. Don't necessarily need a new one - 3 years old and a few tens of thousands of km would be fine. But used prices seem rather inflated, so new with 5 year warranty is worth considering, though spending over $60k is getting hard to justify for us. But then there's the new model coming which complicates the decision. Looking to get something for a holiday in July, though if we take our current car for that, we can take our time buying. Local dealership has about 3 new Everests ready to go, including Trends with 3.2, and 2.0 with Base Camp. They say they are getting several more in a month or so. What I've read says the new model will be revealed maybe in Q1, and available later in the year. Do we know anything more than that? |

My bet is that all New Ranger and Everest Models will have a 10K price increase.
