Default Its the End of 2010

And what a year it has been!

What are you fond memories of the year?

Any not so fond memories? Or are you going to keep them forgotten?

Big plans for tonight?

2010 wasn't too bad for myself I guess, I got up and got myself a job after being unemployed for almost 12 months, started that one in May. Not my ideal job but I have come to enjoy it and the people there are fantastic.

I traded my AU for my Focus. I bought my LTD project car.

I still haven't met the woman of my dreams yet, I say that every year but I think now I'll forget about that one, they just seem to be non-existant! Or taken.

My pet budgie I had for 8 or 9 years died this year :( Very big downer of the year, in fact, probably one of the biggest downers of the year, kind of hit me hard, he'd been a good little friend over the years!

We've got the thread already for NY Resolutions so I'll keep them out of this thread.

HAPPY NEW YEAR AFF, You're all a great bunch on the forums, and I know quite a few of you off the forums as well and we have our laughs. In 2011 I actually hope to get out and about interstate a bit more, and meet more of our interstate members.

I hope you all have a brilliant night tonight, no matter what you do. Those of you drinking, I hope you're blessed without hangovers in the morning, because I know my head will probably be throbbing! Whatever you all get up to though, please do it safely, use your common sense, and here's to another year!

Well I feel great posting after the last one now don't I - I sincerely hope 2011 is much better for you mate. (Hazxr6 that is)

For me, I;

Got my P's.
Didn't get any fines, loose points or damage the car in 2010 also good. (not that I did in '09, but still)
Graduated High school

So I think that makes for a pretty good year

I am sure there are, but I can't think of any really not so fond memories at the minute

In May 2010 my second child was born. September 2010 she had heart surgery. December 2010, both my daughters are healthy and happy.

Despite some tough times, 2010 has been a good year. Bring on 2011.

Has been a somewhat uneventful year consisting of work, uni, work, uni etc, all other hours have been spent fixing the car up!

Still the ridiculous amount of work may hopefully be able to afford me a new xr8 if they come out!

Been a year of ups and downs.

Good things: I am finally back in a Ford and after 4yrs I am still at my current employer (I was a lazy **** who never held a job before my daughter was born). My kids are healthy and happy

Bad: My grandmother died, her and I were very close and I can't stop feeling guilty I never payed back some 15k I borrowed over 7 yrs because I made stupid decisions. My health has gotten worse.

2011 should be a great year. In the first month my health issue should be fixed.

The Good - Finally getting full time employment and buying the BF

The Bad - Lots of stupid decisions and time wasting on people who don't deserve it

Hoping 2011 is a lot better than 2010..

The Good:
Got a once a month job...
Been hit and run over by a car, but wasnt hurt (thats the good bit) and was able to ride away with no pain/marks etc. whatsoever

The Bad:
Only $60 each time
When I sprained my hip, i was never meant to lift heavy stuff, so i nearly broke it again this year and was/still am in pain from it.. Still getting on with life.
Havent found that one person.. although i am only 15 so hopefully its just a waiting game..
Been used (who hasn't)
Wasting time, not doing all of my work, even in my favourite subjects: Information Software Hardware Technology (ISHT, or in other words, building + programming computers from scratch) and Metalwork/Metal fabrication

Goals for 2011
Eat more (eaten sweet fa this year)
Walk at least 10kms more each week (walk 7-8kms a day already)
Dont let people use me
Achieve a good Year 10 School Certificate mark
Get my L's
Don't get pulled over, and don't crash
See all of my far family and meet them before its too late (they are getting old and dont want to leave it until its too late)

I also want everyone to have a good, safe and fun new year in 2011 and

My one goal to have done before the end of the decade:
I will find my special someone who i can call my wife and at least have 1 child by then.. or something is wrong

Also I do realise ISHT can be changed for *****.. i have already put it in permanent marker on the whiteboard.. thought it was a whiteboard marker

You'll only be 25 by then..there's no rush.
Go out, find out who you are, and collect some awesome experiences, before you make your life about someone else.

My year was pretty uneventful.
Worked. Sat around at home. Worked some more.
Not much on the horizon for 2011 at the moment. Wouldn't mind a holiday, and perhaps some new friends who share some of my interests. (Going to concerts alone is starting to get a bit old.)

there is a thread about it on here

I hope that we will see every member here on aff back in the new yr

I have had an indifferent year with family issues as well as stuffing my back but hey thats life and you need to suck it up

I hope that 2011 will be better than 2010 but time will tell

Bit of up and down for me.

The Good:
January I got a stereo installed in my Falcon.
July I got promoted at work to a car salesman.
December I sold the Ford for a Civic Type R but still love Fords.

The Bad:
In May I came out as being gay and caused a massive fight between me and my father. (Nearly broke the whole family up.)
First ever fine for speeding. Less than 10kp/h over.

2010 has been the best year of my life to date

stopped wasting my money on personal possessions and re learnt how to save my money again. back in 4 digits for the first time in 5 years. really gaining momentum financially now.

Finally achieved one of my many goals - to visit America
Had the opportunity to meet a new friend face to face who's also in the vehicle detailing and refinishing game.
went over during our winter so this year I get to enjoy two summers in a row.
a three month ultra cheap trip. checked out a tiny fraction of LA and then on to boise idaho for the remainder of the time

america was amazing. the food is better, less fattening and variety like you've never experienced before.

lost some weight this year, keeping it in the right range. did about 400 miles on a bmx bike during my trip. experienced IMAX for the first time.
Trialled new foods and went for a run in one of the most legendary muscle cars ever. Chevelle SS LS6 454 in red with black stripes.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2pmDXMWhS40

I'd never been outside australia so I conquered international travel too.
America make us look stupid in so many areas. their classic and muscle car scene was insane. Idaho motorfest was huge with the whole city of boise shut down for a 2000 car cruise. mega cheap power and water bills.

found out just how much we are getting ripped off over here

I really feel for all of you who have had such a poor year. all we have control of is this very moment. so do it well in 2011 and rise up. every day is a brand new start.
don't waste time on stuff that achieves nothing. spend more time on family and friends, stronger relationships, expanding your horizons and make the most of each day

2011 will see my friend come to Australia for the first time and my galaxy blue AU XR fully overhauled and back on the road after being neglected for 4 years sitting in my workshop gathering dust
