Default Just Spotted a VE

hey i just saw a Red SS VE all covered in Car Bra's on the front and rear but the mid section was un hidden and the interior was visible, it looks pretty good and i think our BF will look a bit dated after the VE's release. It seems smaller and as usual rather euro.

A nice looking car, the SS loods more refined and sophisticated then the current model. To me and the other boys at the dealership it the hip line reminds us of a Mazda 6 or even a 380. Sounded good with quad pipes.

I just saw 2. One was a blue SS, the other looked like a LWB version of something, possibly Statesman. Had my camera phone on me too!!!
The blue SS didn't want to start after fuelling up either! :

Now bear with me quality wise, as it was taken with my Mobile Phone... And a few were taken thru a window while they were still outside.
Had just gone to fuel up the forklift. I asked one of the drivers "So do i need to guess... VE Commodore" and he smirked at me. The blue SS has quad pipes. Didn't want to start either. :

Cheers

The first picture is of the LWB car, possibly statesman, and behind it is the support vehicle. The 6th photo is the rear of the LWB car.

I noticed that as well. Also looks like it will slope away at a pretty steep angle, just going by the transition between the roof's rake and the start of the bonnet.

Yer, it looks short and beefy. I like.

I know it's hard to see, but the window looks frameless.. But it's not the best quality so it's hard to tell.

They both filled up with Regular Unleaded I noticed as well. The SS had quad pipes, didn't hear it, wouldn't start for some reason. One of them saw me taking the pics, so i make a quick (NOT) getaway on my forklift!

Didn't get a good look at interior, the bowsers got in the way.
But the SS did have a gauge pod if that helps!
Calipers on SS were not overly large either.
Nothing new under the bonnet, 6lt as far as i could see.

Thats a bit surprising. thought they might have intergrated it. Anything else you remember?

The SS was not overly loud exhaust note wise. Had a good size wheel on it too. Fairly big area covered up on the boot probably means a decent size boot spoiler. The 2nd car was not a standard comme, Statesman/Caprice maybe, definately larger than the other car.

When the SS wouldn't start, made a clicking noise, as they do.
They connected a set of jumper leads to something right up high under the bonnet near the windscreen on the passenger side...in a similar position to the BA Computer. Odd place for a battery one would think. Might be re-setting the ECU?

No it could be the battery. I know some Euro cars have the battery in that postion and its that far up there you need a special tool to get the battery out. Batteries used like that normally have a dedicated jump station becasue the terminals are such a ***** to get too.
