Default MC Mondeo - Problem starting call after filling it with petrol

Hi,

I have noticed in the last few weeks that after I fill my car with unleaded petrol it will not start the first time it will just crank over. However, if I release the starter button and try again the car starts without any issues. The car starts first time every time apart from after filling it with fuel.

Any ideas?

Cheers,

rxj

Fuel injectors might be "leaking down" causing the engine to flood. I doubt that it's anything to do with filling up - but you can double check by turning off the (hot) engine for a similar length of time that it takes to fill up the car (ie a few minutes) & then try starting it & see if the problem can be replicated.
