Has anyone with a Ford Focus ST had a fuel injector service?
Is it really necessary? Shouldon't modern cars like ours be engineered well enough to not need one for along time? What are the benefits and what are the signs if any that your car needs one Cheers guys Tim.

Your local dealer needs to make money somehow!
What you are quoted for is an onboard injector flush. But if you're going to spend the money doing it, you might as well do it properly, and get a proper ultrasonic clean, spray pattern analysis etc. Here is a place that does a good job in Melbourne for example: https://www.efihardware.com/products...ector-Cleaning Symptoms of blocked injectors are the usual flat spots / hesitations, misfiring and poor idle quality etc, but...there are so many other sources that can cause these exact symptoms. |

Avoid filling up at low traffic small stations in rural areas where possible. 5. Don't overuse "Octane boosters" such as Nulon Pro Octane booster in your tank as they tend to leave a red / orange residue over time which can cause problems with injectors. |

Yeah I have always run 98 octane from on the runs only. Never touched octane booster or fuel filters etc. Stock ST with only log book servicing.. nothing else done or replaced. May need to just get it done
