at what rpm does the stock 4.0 get its peak power?
what is the highest rpm you've safely launched at without a stally?

Stock EF I6 is 157Kw @ 4900rpm, EF XR6 is 164Kw @ 5000rpm
Not sure what your 2nd question means, you can't just stall a standard car over the stock convertor's stall speed.

i guess your talking about say a aftermarket 2500rpm stall convertor. i have a manual and find that with my tires on the street anything much above 2000rpm off the line just causes wheel spin. i'll usually launch about 1800rpm then plant the foot to avoid spin but everyones car is different.
as kenaz said if you have an auto DO NOT DO NEUTRAL DUMPS!!

Best to load up the stally by reving with foot on brake in drive to stall point (approx 1500-1800rpm) then release brake and plant foot all the way. Don't rev for too long with foot on the brake as you will burn your ATF by getting it too hot.
