Anyone put any thought into putting a fairlaine/LTD front or rear onto thier falcon.....
Would it even be possible? My assumption wouldve been If a BA front can go on with a bita work that this would have to be easier??? How wrong am I????

AU Fairlane front is straight bolt on to an AU Falcon, the rear is far from it though

is it just bonnet, quaterpannels and lights?????? and if so, will the original falcon front bar/grill still fit? as for the rear end, would it be 1/4 pannels, boot, lights, rear bar (obviosly the rear 1/4pannels would have to be welded) or is it more complicated then that?

honestly, for what it would cost to do, it'd be far far easier to just buy a fairlane...
the roof shape is completley different and it would look wrong in my opinion, thats if you could get it all lining up |

as for the rear - it was more curiosity then anything,
but if the front is straight forward, it definiteley gets consideration, only question is will the TE50 kit fit with the fairlaine lights/bonnet/quaterpannels?

I've seen an AU wagon with an AU Fairlane front. I'm very interested to know if you have a go at putting a TE/TS front on to it.

I know thier allot squarer, I just thought it coulda been done, I had a fairlane front on an xf falcon + a falcon front on an eb fairlaine and in both cases the fairlane was more square but the front bars went on hassle free as if they were made for eachother, I thought the front bars mightve been interchangable between the 2 for the au's also.

ok.... the bars will go on but unlike the earlier cars, the AU fairlane is very square ( square enough that im going to be customising an AU Fairlane bar onto my NC Fairlane) and the AU falcon is very rounded in the front.......
the grille section of the T series bar wouldnt come even close to fitting between the AU Fairlane headlights. unlike a ZL or an NA or similar, it just will not look right..... |

Food for thought! igues it comes down to an aftermarket te50styled bottom 1/2 of the front bar with a fairmont grill.
