Ok, so how many of you guys have picked up chicks on the basis of your car (as in doofing down the main street of your town, lookin windswept and interesting)?
I'm just curious if chicks really DO go for guys cos of their cars...

Meeting Gerardine (although I had to drive to Sydney to do it) is a direct result of buying a Ford, otherwise I would be on the (oh the shame) soarer forums.

Well bindi, you should know - you're the chick around here.
I haven't actually used my car as a tool for picking up chicks - haven't had the need BUT, surprisingly I've caught a few women admiring my T3 parked at the kerb and have overheard several favourable comments on it by them. They didn't of course know that I, the owner, was near. I've seen many more blokes looking it over, but this is more natural. What wouldn't be natural would be to use it to pick up blokes with, so I've never done that either!! But when my lady drives it .. well, you should see the looks SHE gets from the guys!!! |

In my prime I considered it a factor, having a cool car to help with the "babe magnetisim".
When I got my Coupe just recently a female friend (who knows my XR6 as well) said "I bet you'll pick up in these cars". My reply was "You're kidding? It didn't work for me 20 years ago, it ain't gonna work now!!!" Pretty funny really.

Chicks seem to like the XD (i've also heard them talking about it when they don't know its mine), but even when I don't have the missus in the car they never seem to actually try anything.
Could have something to do with being an ugly bastard though... |

When I was out last weekend, I was with a mate who was in his niceVT commo. I say nice, cause it actually is. It has big shiny chromies, and is lowered. It just looks pretty, my car is quicker, but doesn't look brilliant. just a stocko white ef lowered with(dare I admit it) EA s-pac snowflakes. Anyway, we were parked outside a party, 3 hot chicks came up to my window asked for a lift, i said yes and they jumped in. My mate with the commo was ****ed! he he, some chicks have taste. My missus actually prefers falcons too. Although, I think this is off the innitial topic. I seriously don't think any decent chic goes for a guy who cruises past with his big subwoofer crankin the phat beats. I cruise like, this, not for the chics, just cause I like drivin and I like loud music.

IMO if the 'car groupy skanks' are only into you coz of your car then they arent worth shit. youll probably find its just bragging rights coz they are like 15 or something.
"i know this guy whos got a 6.....its so sik man....its got a spoiler......nah it'd totally flog Darrens V12 lambo easy mate......your a ****in skank ya mole" yeah you guys can keep them chicks to ya selves. Last edited by Kryton; 23-02-2005 at 10:25 PM. |

picked up 2 chicks outside a club and went back to their place, but my car was stock with no rims at the time, so i dont think it was the car, unless they like the grandpa car look.
i dont think its like what chicks use to judge a guy, i just think they look at the car coz its nice, then if the guy drivin it is alright they may be interested.... its the same if i see a chick in a decent car, ill notice the car then her and be like....ooo yeah...then sometimes ill catch a glimpse of a glamor drivin a shit heap, but that wont stop me havin a look at her... |

My fiance liked clunkadores when we met, slowly over time she's seen the light, to the point now where she actually hates commy's and drives my ED like a woman possessed. She's even talking about me getting a purple BA XR6turbo (I like purple) and her keeping the ED. Ah finally, the happy Ford family....
