Exclamation Buyer Beware: All-Car-Carpets

On September 15, 2021, I ordered (bought & paid for online) car floor carpet for one my rides from this website https://www.all-car-carpets.com.au

I still haven't got it. On the invoice it said allow, 30 days delivered to your door.

After 30 days passed, I gave them a call. The call goes to a messaging service (uber driver with ear buds, now I know why they are always on phone) where they take your details etc... and the business owner calls you back.

No call back, I try again a week later, same deal. Got the chef to jump on their facebook page and message them, no response.

I kept calling at least every 2 days hoping to get through, nothing.

3 months later still no carpet. I done some lycos web search and found there are a bunch of unhappy campers out there in the same boat as me.

I put it down to a loss on my behalf, its the first time since my 386 pc (with windows 3.11) and upgraded UART chip, and fresh 28.8k modem that I have been stooged with online shopping, that is to say, no product or refund.

So, all I can say is be careful of this lot.

Cheers

* That's just my personal experience with them

You are in Melbourne. They are in Melbourne.
Go and bang on their door and find out if anyone is home. Can't be that hard.

Only use Paypal when ordering stuff online, really easy to get a refund when goods do not arrive.

Paypal, credit or debit card only in the future. You would have had the full amount refunded after one phone call.

You could always contact your bank or their bank and make a complaint. If they have enough complaints about a fraudulent business they might suspend the businesses account and give them a black mark. Call it an attention getter... Or revenge!

I have bagged them out everywhere, they sell a **** product and don't deliver anywhere near what they say they will. I have bagged them on their FB page and on Google reviews, anywhere I can I do. They can't delete Google reviews

I ordered a boot liner for my XP, on their webpage they say they use original molds, I got a flat bit of vinyl after waiting months. I complained to them and got no reply

They are as dodgy as hell

I made a claim today, the bank wasn't sure how I would go, not with this mob but for something else. Our bank contacts their bank and try to get a refund from them.

I also lodged a scam report with ACCC, they share with other agencies like ScamWatch, the Police and the banks with your permission

Bloody hell, I just read Google reviews, it has got worse since I posted - bloody hell, what a mess of a company

Are you talking about a bank transfer or a payment by debit or credit card?

I can understand the bank transfer being difficult.

But if its by debit or credit card, within 120 days of the transaction and you have a valid claim under the Australian Consumer Guarantee they generally process the chargeback instantly or within a couple of days. The onus is on the seller to prove otherwise.

When I've raised a claim with Westpac (via debit card) I always get the money back in 24 hours, but with the warning it may be taken away pending outcome of the dispute.

I've read occasionally on Facebook where people have gotten money returned by banks after paying deposits on online puppy scams.

It kind of all comes down to right time and place. Whether the receiver still has the money in their account, or money at all, that they can claw back and you proving your case.

I know the people who wrote they were successful also called the receivers bank and told them what was happening. The bank suspended their account and gave the account holders black marks because they were using the account for fraud. It also helped the bank had previous complaints about the account holders and the account itself.

But from now on, Paypal, Debit or Credit cards only.

In this case all you would have to do is contact them, make a claim and they would have the money back in your account within 24 hours. The onus would then be on the seller to prove you wrong. They would have to say provide a delivered tracking number, which they cant. So that would be the end of the claim.

However if they did prove something, even by lying, the money would be taken from you and returned to them. Bit of a back and forth game then. But that rarely happens.

Good luck with it!

Ordered for my Volvo S60 a while back. Good quality and you can customise the appearance.

edit: sorry is this full carpet replacement or mats? Might have misread.

i meant a full carpet. Interestingly only the carpet along the front passenger wheel well has worn away to the base lining, but the rest of the carpet looks new.

i just got the car recently was a little surprised when I lifted up the floor mat.

@ThaFlash, I have got a few carpets for project cars over the last 25+ years from these guys. Not a single complaint from me. Been around for a long time, and great service.

This is the problem when everyone gets burned but then does nothing about it, one of my relatives is taking up a fight at VCAT with someone at the moment over similar circumstances and all these other people have come out of the woodwork about the same person they've all been burned by, but no one actually did anything about it so its been allowed to continue unabated for yonks.
