Default Dodge RAM TRX

Watched Drive TV and they featured a Dodge Ram TRX.
702HP (532KW) and 651 FT/LB (882NM) Torque.
Dodge claim 0-100 KM/H time of 4.5 seconds.

A bit pedantic I realise, but Ram became its own brand, separate from Dodge not long after the GFC, over 10 years ago.

Base price is $240,000 but can be speced up to about $320,000 in Australia. That’s a pretty serious spend.

telling me a typical rip off in this country.
In the US its starts from US$74k + add ons.
Thats A$104,352k - talk about australia tax etcetc.......
You'd be a mug but then again we have people willing to pay for Shelbys at exorbitant figures via MM and others......

Adding our taxes, then also a conversion from a third party adds up. Compliance, testing, engineering etc etc

Saw one in the showroom last week. Looks great but salesman said they’re asking 270,000 for it
It’s nice, but not that nice

They're just getting in on the action. Truck prices soared during covid, they're just trying to get their share before the **** falls out of the auto market.

I read that the first allocation were mostly sold before they were released. Must a few cashed up truck lovers out there.

I wonder if there is tax advantage to buying such a ute. For example accelerated depreciation. If there is people could buy and then resell and make a profit.
