My Everest is only 6 months old and today when I went out to go to work (it was chilly and foggy) I noticed that both tail-lights had condensation in them:
  The condensation was still there when I came home this afternoon. Can anyone confirm that this should be covered under warranty? The car is always kept under cover and has not been in any sort of collision. |

Should be a warrenty thing. The dealership will probably read out their whole book of excuses then admit defeat. Once that happens it will be 6 to 8 weeks before you get your car back and you will be well cultured after the time spent in youbers.

No, the car has never had a pressure washer used on it.
I think I may have found the problem though. A vertical crack, about 1-2mm wide, has appeared right here on the rear clear plastic trim:  I assume its where the two halves of the tail lights/trim are joined in manufacture but something has caused it to separate and allow moisture to get in. I'll talk to Ford about it (and be prepared for the excuses!) |

I saw John C, on his tube channel, giving Ford a serve, regarding a new rusty Ranger from tropical north Queensland, and the resulting run around between dealer and HQ. This will give him more to talk about.

Quick update - went to Ford today and the service guy had a look, took a few photos and without hesitation said it would be covered by warranty (booked in next week).
He said while it wasn't common he had personally seen at least one other case of it. |

UPDATE:
Dropped the car off at 8.00 this morning and by midday it was ready for pickup with brand new rear lights installed, all covered by warranty. All in all, very happy with the result and the process with Ford was smooth and pain-free. |
