Default Honda Civic Type R online tech discussion

As some of you may know, I do a bit of work for Honda.

And you'll be aware that they have just released the new Honda Civic Type R. I had a quick drive of at the Mt Cotton Testing Facility in Qld, and I must say it is a whole lot of fun.

For those interested, Honda is conducting an online Forum with some of their Product and Tech guys at 7.30pm on
July 5, allowing people to ask questions about the new Type R. For anyone interested, the details are at:

http://www.civictyper.com.au/experts.

Moderators: I have posted this simply for the information of the small car guys who are interested in a variety of hot hatches. If innapropriate, please delete

Not really into the whole triangle theme of it all..all in all the only thing that grabbed me was the i-vtec light that lights up on the dash when it kicks in through to the 8,000rpm redline

Roughly how much would it be when it comes out? If it's within range I might consider one!

From a performance point of view the JDM CTR seems a better bet (suspension, brakes, engine) even though the Euro CTR hatch probably looks better.

Why did Honda Aus go for the UK version? Now the yen/dollar ratio is quite favorable compared to the pound/dollar ratio, was the decision taken a long time out. I.E. a few years ago?

I really want a hot Honda that moves the game forward.

The ADM DC2R Integra was good.
The ADM DC5R Integra (RSX engine, poor brakes and front susp) only seemed to be treading water – incremental advances and the front suspension was a backwards step
Now the ADM CTR seems to be good, but I know that there is the better JDM version, its front and rear suspension don’t seem that great, it weighs a fair bit and doesn’t even seem to have an LSD (only traction control).
