i have a 89 telstar ghia 2.2ltr, and i chaged the clutch over on the weekend, and everything went fine and dandy except for the fact i cant seem to find/work out where to fill the transmission up from.
I can find the drain point on the bottom of the housing, and there is a plug about 100mm up the housing, but it seems a little too close to the bottom for it to be a fill point, and when i took that plug out, oil ****ed out of there. Now in my opinion when i took the axle out of the diff/tranny oil came out, so there should have been a little less oil there, so it shouldnt have ****ed out the plug that i removed from the sire of the housing. So i think that makes sense....lol Anyways if someone could tell me where the fill point for them are, You will make me a very happy man. cheers BEN

well im not familiar with this model but most auto's you fill through the dipstick tube. if it doesn't a dipstick tube then your filling piont should be the speedo drive. if so it should have hot and cold marks on the speedo drive.

I have another question that i forgot to ask about before.
When i take my foot off the clutch it takes a while for the pedal to come back up. It wasnt doing this before i did the clutch change, so it is obvious i have stuffed something up, or done something wrong. The clutch feels fine when you are pressing it down to the floor, but when you want the pedal to come back up, it takes a bit longer for it to come up (if you press clutch all the way down, and quickly release foot off pedal, it takes about 1 second or so for the clutch to catch up with your foot at full stroke) I am just wondering if anyone would be able to help me on this situation. Thanks BEN
