Me and the boys are just putting the finishing touches on a series of cars and tracks for the game rfactor. Due for release in late February, early March, the emphasis of the mod is on authenticity, realism and of course fun racing.
The first installment of many to come starts with the mighty 1969 race with the GTHO Phase 1 up against the HT Monaro. I think we all know the results of this race, however there will be more years and better days to come for the blue oval. The mod will be free of course however the game cost $55 and can be purchased from rfactor.net. More pics and info can be found here www.ausfactor.com Hope you like the WIP's

I'm interested in the track realism... having driven the track so many times over the years and soon to be moving into that town, i found that V8 Supercars 2 PS2 game had the most real feel to the track, but was still flawed in many area's.

WOW looks awesome i dont know how the hell you can model cars like that lol ive tried with very bad results.
As for v8supercars 2 that doesnt come close to being real lol try the v8supercars for rfactor thats as real as it gets ;) they used real team data and drivers to test it.

Bring it on please...That looks very very nice. Just a silly question but will this run on all the AUS tracks on rfactor? Last time we got to play these old cars was on a mod in V8SC and that was fun. Heaps of fun. I can't wait for this... Well done guys

This rFactor bathurst legends mod will make the V8SC look like 16bit.
We have most of the aussie tracks already, Warwick farm just got released and we are working on a 1960/1970's version of Bathurst. We will be releasing this mod in years starting at 1969 and going through to the 80's, not sure where the cut off will be at this stage however we already have the Greens Tuff and Tru Blu Roo. Release of 1969 is getting close and we are almost ready to start beta testing. Thanks for the well wishes guys.

Looks like a cracker. Phase 3 vs Torrie vs Charger would be my pick of the years. Looking forward to it.

Yeah, that's it
In fact, for those who download it, rFactor have the covers and disc label on their download page, to print off and pretty up your disc.

Unreal.... This will get me back on line for sure.. I'll be getting this at 10AM on Sunday and racing as soon as it's done.. If any other people are thinking about getting it and trying it we should get together on Sunday and have a game. Can I ask how long till each year will be released?
Thanks heaps for this.. Last edited by XR.1967; 01-08-2008 at 10:31 AM. |
