Headsup to other users. The car is an 09 MB Mondeo, 2.3 duratech. Auto.60 thousand ks on clock. Had been using e10 fuel for three years then the fuel pump failed. Machanic blamed the fuel. He said use 95 ron unleaded any brand. I went for shell. Most interesting thing is ks per 100 went from 10.7 to 8.6 ks per 100 using the new fuel. Took about 5 months for this to happen. Cost for replacement ford part fuel pump installed by mr machnic, $800. Cheers.

As far as I'm aware, all the petrol Mondeo's are recommended 95 RON minimum on every piece of paperwork & the inside of the filler cap door. They are E10 compatible but still needs to be 95 RON.
