Default xr 6 problem

so got an xr6 ef and it is using lot's of fuel and exuast tip is black but car not using oil and it still goes hard any one know what the problem may be re using fuel

First way to get stuff fixed is answer the questions because I don't have all day to mail back and forth.

The thing about rad and therms is heat if the car isn't getting hot enough quick enough it thinks it's still cold and runs on cold settings kinda like running around on the choke all day.

While this may not be consistant with your model it is overlooked time and time again.

Things as simple as fitting a heavey duty radiator with out the correct therma can cause a huge fuel prob.

so that could be the problem then i have noticed it does run cold and sorry i didn't answer your ? as i am a little ignorant of the later model car's it's a ef 6 fuel injected tickford motor and as i said using lot's of fuel and to answer your origanal ? i hav't touch iit only the usual service's buy the local garage
