Just wondering as the title suggests, how do i get the fuse panel out so i can access the rear, and splice in a wire.... i
EB2 fairmont ive had a look but cant quite see what to do and dont wanna break anything yet cheers |

doubt it'd be much different to the EL dash i have in my room, the black plastic fuse panels are screwed to the back of the dash
dash out job..... change you're heater core while the dash is out |

yeh i just had a look, there are two screws i can feel at the back... theres gotta be a way to get that bloody thing out. on that EL dash, how can u get the small panel with the fuse holder on it off?

yeh thought it might be a pain in the ****..... well i just slipped the wire into the fused side of the 5A fuse/socket hahah, i think ill just hook up an external fuse soon......

yeah looking at the dash in the spare ea the other day (was doing my pedal box and would have been 4000 times easier if we could get it out) the fuse box is screwed from the back and the front to a metal structure support that runs thru most of the driver side dash, really no way to get it off without taking out most of the dash.... just get up in there with ur arms and head as much as possible...

Believe me when i say getting in there with your arms & head wont help much either. I tried for 2 hours when i was painting the interior black. There is more than 2 screws aswell and due to all the wires you cant get to them (i had all kinds of bendy screw drivers n sockets to)
It would be easier to unscrew the dash panel & dash by the window & pull the dash out. (+remove centre console & steering column so you can move the dash) |

i think i might get a tech manual and find the colour of the wire i need, prob the easist solution....
