"In the worst case, if the vehicle continues to be operated under these conditions, the steering connection may separate or fracture, which could result in loss of steering." And this is a bad thing? The only time I’ve ever seen these things is putting down the road at 50 kmh or sitting in the right lane of the freeway at 80 kmh, usually by people in the state government, as they’re the only ones stupid enough to buy them. Anything that helps get these ugly ugly things of the road can’t be that bad. Now all they have to do is get rid of the entire Camry range. :evil3: Cheers, Danny

Real cars need at least a single barrell of petrol just to get down to the shops and back, has a nice deep groan, and take up about 99% of the width of any lane....
The prius on the other hand started out as a garden wheelbarrow and optioned up.... not too far different from a Pink Kmart bike with training wheels and steamers off the handle bars...

The ammount of plastic in a prius probably uses about 3 or 4 barrels and about 1t of copper wiring. plus the metal in the batterys.
The people who buy these are pulling the preverbial. :ymca: |

Ban them...
I've never fully trusted them since my dad backed over me in his work Prius (no engine running = no engine noise = GM walks behind Prius in reverse = major embarassment)

They should put some plastic bits on the wheels to make motorbike noises, like you used to do as kids on the pushbikes!
So these orange bits in the car that are dangerous, do these bits become dangerous if the car is involved in a bad accident? |

Very much so... emergancy services have to be exceptionally careful in the case of an accident. Firey's have to disable the power sources and isolate them before ambo's can go to work.

The new Prius going on sale now in the states and Europe now feature a beeping sound, much like a truck, when reverse is engaged, to prevent insidences such as the above. The only thing is, you have to hack the BEM Module to turn off the beeping....

Cause big hommie, Mr-T wanna-be doesn't wanna spoil his image wit some beepin reverse thingy.... lol
I do know that it attracts unwanted attention to the car... but thats the point... I'm a cyclist, and if every car beeped when they are reversing out of their driveway, I'd have a few less scars...

Bloody amazing to think they've actually sold a million of the ugly bastard children begat from the cross pollination between a Tonka toy and an electric blanket.

The hybrid is a good theory, but why did they have to make it look so "different".
It's based on a Civic or something isn't it? |

Just wait for the AURION. Looks the business and with a factory backed performance wing should bring out a nasty front wheel drive car to menace HSV's + FPV's. Just imagine if they were rear wheel drive! I reckon both locals would be in a bit of a pickle.
