Default *** AU extractors for sale brand NEW ***

Hi All,

Bought some pacemakers for my AU2, turns out they wont fit because of the gas gear! Real bugger...

Anyway, they obviously havent been used, ao as new. Asking $350, I am in Melbourne.

Sorry, yes, they are for the 6 cyl.

Postage to NSW? Hmm, not sure, but would be quite a bit due to the weight...may not be worth it ?

Is your car Dedicated or Dual Fuel?

I know you wish to be rid of the Extractors, but I am interested as to why they wont fit.

I am interested also.

Perhaps they'll fit dedicated but not dual. It depends on clearing the converter IIRC.

Ok. I know they will fit no worries in a E-Gas, but if his is a dual and his converter is in the way, then there is no point. To much hassle.

Yeah its duel fuel, and the gas mixer I think it is, is right in the way. It would have to be moved and yeah, too much hassle :0)

Good deal for someone then. Both my cars are dual fuel so they wouldn't work for me.

*GK's wallet breathes a sigh of relief and whispers to the credit car "We're ok for the time being, but don't get too comfy!"* LOL!

Hope you find a good buyer for them.

If they are the 4499s, you can fit them, but just need to reshape the old heat shield to suit the extractors. Heatshield is NOT a heat source.

Show us pics of your engine bay ... then we can tell you if they fit or not.
You might have a chance of fitting the PH4499s ... but id you have PH4480s ... forget it.

I thought mine weren't going to fit ... but they did (woo hoo) .... it just depends on your dual fuel setup though and how it is plumbed. EGAS is no worries though.

You need to get a metal PCV (Pollution Control Valve), it's the plastic bit that's in the rocker cover, directly to the right of the oil filler cap.

In a backfire, the bottom of these plastic bits can be blown into the valve gear of cylinder #2.

Replace it with a metal one, $10 from Ford, less than 1 minute to replace, great and cheap insurance IMO!

I've not fitted extractors but there isn't much room there at all for them. Having said that, if you actually own them, then I'd give it a go fitting them and then you'd know for sure. You should still get the $350 you're after if you do that.

well in the interests of comparison here are ph4499's on mine which it a straight petrol model
just to give a rough idea of how far they stick out

**edit: looking at that i don't think they are gonna have any hope of fitting...

Yes well, that wont fit by a absolute mile. I have been told by a kind forum memeber there is a place that will relocate the gas thingamajig to the other side for around $150.

Now, hopefully, there is actually room on the other side though .

Nope won't fit. If the converter can be relocated it'd be sweet!

All the best with it.
