G'Day everyone,
Finally... oh finally : : an area has been secured for the club for this weekend for the V8's. Display day is Sunday........ We will be down near turn 1. Meeting details are; 7am Sunday 10th December Settlement Hotel, Sth Gippsland Hwy, Cranbourne It will cost you $10 to park at the track. This is done by the circuit and not the club................. GTP290 (John) is the contact person. The HSV guys are also meeting there, and like last year they will line up next to us at the track........ Feel free to either pm me or GTP290 to let us know if you are coming or have any questions. WE MUST GO IN AS ONE GROUP - YOU CANNOT TURN UP LATER AND JUMP IN....... If, like me, you are staying on the island for the weekend, please contact me so i can let you know where to meet.............. Keep your eye on the website for full info.........

I will be there by approx 6.30 am at the Settlement Hotel , and we must leave by 7 am sharp.
The tickets for the parking at our track display will be issued once the $10 has been paid to myself ,if you have UHF radio's bring them along , they always come in handy. It may also be a good idea to buy your entry tickets at TicketMaster to avoid unnessary delays at the gates So let's make this a great day and hope that Lownsey wins....Go Ford. M.P contact 0418 385270 Cheers John

was a great turn out by all.
a BIG thanks to GBG for all her work in getting us an area after hitting many a brick wall with the promoters. top work dudette!! kelly the 'champion' hey.... i thought a champion was someone who actually WON something, not who finished 2nd and 3rd more than everyone else, but maybe i'm wrong.... what worries me is that 'moves' like kelly's just leave everyone (ford AND holden supporters) p1ssed off with the result because we all wanted to see a fair fight. things like that, and the so-called punishment handed out afterwards, gets the fans off side, and the whole category suffers. dont believe me?? look at the last days of Group A, the effect the 'Godzilla' Nissan had on the fans' opinions causing the demise of the category in Australia... funny thing is that this will awaken the 'sleeping Lowndesy giant' again. by that, i mean look at what happened when he had the boo boo at Bathurst last year... it just made him want it more this year... and we all know what happened with his demolition of the opposition in 2006 on the mountain... anyway, roll on '07!! |

Well Done to all the display certainly looked impressive from the air click here to see more photos of the day.
Once again thanks to Karyn for organising the spot and being pushed from pillar to post by all the stakeholders of the event in order for us to get the display area.
