.. and now the wait begins. For delivery that is
I bought the car from Coffey Ford Dandenong, which is close to where I live so that is always a bonus. Got a great price as well (I think), cheaper than any of the online prices that I could see on carsales and drive (slightly under $46k). I ordered the Frozen White and added a bonnet protector. With an estimated delivery date of 31st August, it is going to be a loooong wait. |

I put the order in for mine in December and it turned up at the dealers two weeks ago.
I thnk you should be able to get one pretty quick as there is stock around.

Dusty,
Andrew at Etheridge Ford showed me a Mondeo Wagon while I was doing my research, and he was pretty sure that was your (old) car. She was a beauty! |

I feel your pain with the wait mine took nearly 4 months but now I have it I'm pretty happy with it so you won't be disappointed. My last car came from Coffey they are easy to deal with.

If it came in earlier I would have been a very happy camper. But with twins on the way it's just to small across the back seat. If we were having one, I would have been onto like a seagull onto a chip. Thanks to Ford and their ***** delivery I will now be getting a Territory. Hang on, I'm waiting for that too! I would have thought Andrew would have offered you a good deal to get your business.

Congratulations pbouzaid! The time will pass quickly. Good price too.
I'm getting the run-around from a Lease company at the moment trying to nail down the price and build date on a Titanium hatch. Life is all about waiting . . .. <sigh> |

Dandenong came to the party in the end which was good since I live close by, and my employer offers a fleet discount for new vehicles (as long as the dealer is happy to play ball) so that helped me get a good price. |

If you want to protect your seats from kiddie spilage I've got a set of custom made neoprene seat covers for sale. No use to me now, as I got them for the Mondeo.
I would be concerned about the alcantara and kids.

I spoke to Ford today. The car I ordered on the 21st May is due at the dealer on about the 9th of September. Such a long wait! They did mention there was a delay... must be the hail storm ?

The boat is only sent when it can be filled up at all the points it stops at, so if it's not full it doesn't go. The cars wait until the boar can be filled. Remember they go to all points in Europe including Greece (there and back), South Africa, and to Thailand, so it goes the long way.
I doubt it would even be on the water yet, it's probably still waiting on the dock. Unless you know the car was affected by a hail storm, you won't know if that's the hold up. The trip over takes about 5 -6 weeks.

D'oh! I ordered mine in early June so I guess I'm in the same shipment. The last delivery date I got from Ford was 25th of August . . . looks like I should expect a phonecall soon from my Ford dealer pushing out the delivery date by another two weeks.

For some reason I thought the boat would come to Aus directly - say a 10 day trip. Now I feel like a right proper goose :(

Couple of days to get Australian compliance and be released from customs, then to your dealer for them to charge you delivery. I'd reckon Thursday or Friday. Good stuff, they are a great car.

Well here she is (unwashed at this stage).
I am so happy with this car and all I can say is - the wait was worth it! Now to give it a good wash and investigate bluefin/racechip pro |

Yeah, the stickers will go as soon as i can work out a way to get rid of them without leaving sticky residue.
The owners manual is a July 2011 revision which is good news. It might be factual for a change It is also full of amazing stuff this car can do which I did not know about. Bonus! |

Congrats, car looks great, and I agree about the stickers, I wish they wouldn't do that.

I would take it back and tell the dealer to remove the stickers as I am sure that you didn't ask for them. I always tell them to remove the plate surrounds for the same reason.

Very sexy. Those dealer stickers are ridiculous though, having two on the rear in addition to the number plate surround makes it look like a company car, I'd be quite offended if it was my new car!

Fantastic. Beautiful looking car. I'm really stoked for you.
And totally agree about the dealer stickers . . . wow, they even put one on a painted surface (a big no-no). Eucalytpus or Orange oil will get the sticky resude off. Only one more month for my baby . . . <sigh> |

Good stuff. White is a great colour for cars.
I agree with everyone else, get the dealer to take all the stickers off it. They don't advertise your company or the company you work for on their cars.
