The last time I went to KFC was in 2012. We were coming back late from out west heading into Brisbane, it was dinnertime and I was STARVING.
We pulled into a roadhouse and being dinnertime there were decent queues, so I picked the shortest one that happened to be KFC. Standing in line I was reading the menu trying to see what would be a decent size feed and I saw the TOWER BURGER. Yeah, that looks like it should do the job! I was wrong. So very wrong. Out comes this pathetic little deflated bun that would have fit on a beer coaster with room to spare, and it was barely thicker than one too. I have never been so disappointed with what a product claims to be vs what was in front of me in my life. The one-bite-burger and chips was just enough to stop me actually eating my own foot, but unless my plate is weighed down by something the likes of the Road Train burger at Nindigully, words like TOWER, and JAW-DROPPING are just filthy, dirty, hunger-tantrum-inducing lies.

Awesome! I remember they did a Mexican version of a tower burger a few years back that had a flat taco shell in it and salsa - was great too.

Bring back The Double!
KFC is the best takeaway place. If I'm going to eat takeaway make at a greasy piece of chicken. It's so good. |

I don't mind the odd Zinger burger, but the common trait of any KFC franchise I've been to is to put as little lettuce as possible on the burgers.
They must be given a single head of lettuce at the start of each year which is to be shared across all the orders. |

Better than the modern 'burger joints' that charge $15 for a burger and use an entire head of lettuces for each order.

Tower Burger..pfft
If they want to bring back a legendary burger, bring back the Junior Colonel Burger. My Son's a manager with KFC and brings me home all the new lines they bring out and everytime i tell him it doesnt compare to the old JCB.. |

I stopped buying the Colonel burger because they put too much mayo (or woteva they call it) on them and it was that sweet it should have been on the dessert menu. Kind of like a Big Mac with too much sauce.

I went through maccas the other day and they are selling the "Grand Big Mac" burger, which is pretty much how big macs were made back in the day before they downsized them... Another thing with KFC, someone told me a while back they stopped putting pineapple on the works burgers? Used to love the zinger works with the pineapple

Since I'm old and grumpy, ill point out that the burgers seem to have shrunk over time.
How they taste is personal preference... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2d5e2OZjWg8

Stopped in Tarcutta on the way home from AFF Drags Sunday for an old-time café burger with the lot. Was pretty much rubbish...

Try eating one without the special sauce? The Big Mac is aweful without it.
