Default This is how a N/A 6cyl Runs the 1/4 mile

Take 1 Car - Chrysler Centura
Take 1 6cyl -265 Hemi N/A 4.3 litre

Street Meet- WSID - 18th October 2006

1/4 Mile 11.3 at 118mph - First Time Dragging

(265 + Cain manifold + holley + custom pipes + roller cam power glide + 4.3 gears + 26 inch tyres)

Now thats how you race with a N/A 6cyl

I was at Just Engine Management the day before and this car was on dyno...
Can't remember what h.p it has but this engine has been bored to max with sleeves and filled to walsh plugs with filler.. There is a crack from front nr timing chain cover to # 6 cylinder on lower block .Been like this for months... 330 rwkw comes to mind, but can't be 100% sure.. Very nice car!!! They have just fitted a powerglid it previously had a "singe rail" sheeesh!!!! ...

LOL HA HA HA Classic comment Auslandau! I cant stop laughing.
I love the old Centura's my dad had one, he put a 1 Litre badge on it and gave the young guns a run for their money at the lights. but then if they road raged him, he block them off, get out of his car and then run at them with his crow bar. Thinking bout it, he was a bit of a pshyco.

I have owned 2 Centuras, both with modified 245's.
Both went pretty hard for their day. I was always changing bushes in the trailing arms, otherwise the creaking would drive you mad.

Loved driving them.

265 hemi's are a goer, a mate of mine said back in the late 80s he worked in a mine at Cobar and in his off time he threw near $10k at this 308 LC torie he had, and his mate had a 265 in his charger with extractors and sports system, and ate him on the 1/4 and out in the sticks on top speed runs.
