My fiesty is allright to drive normally, but soon as you put the foot down and it starts to come onto boost it misses and farts all over the place. The engine check light is on all the time except when you are coasting along and it flashes. any ideas plz its driving me mad !! : :

i doubt any one in this forum would have an idea.. as yours is bosted. but my guess would be the Oxy sensors or the MAf sensor.

Fiesta uses MAP sensing not MAF sean.
Could be your ingition. |

ended up being computer faults and causing the chiptouqe comuter to run exessivly rich causing spark plug flame out.(apparently)
error code:p0106 in take manifold pressure sensor outside range p0301, ignition failure cyinder 1 detected, p1000 OBD systems test not complete, p0300 cylinder missfire. : all retuned 30+ runs on the dyno made max of 138.6kw ATW @ 8 PSI (torque steer on dyno lol) tuned to 118.4 kw ATW @ 8 PSI, less torque steer but still makes power all way till 7900 rpm limiter. Need forged pistons and rods + LSD Than More boost !!!! 200kw here i come lol Got to say big thanks to Bob Hawkins Car Connection in townsville for putting up with the festy !!! DYNO SHEET TO FOLLOW

still plays up a little mid rev range but should be sorted with more dyno time Havent realy figured out the torque thing yet but it pulls hard... most times lol

i would be making the engine stronger internally and leaving it at 8-10 psi.
otherwise, other stuff will start to break. Interesting little project though,

yes it does. But im pretty sure he has used a decompression plate to bring it down to a reasonable CR.

Dont know much about the build motor wise, but computer side of things, still having major dramas about finding something that will talk to the standard computer. i have been through : Autronic, EMS, Motec and the only thing that has worked is a custom computer built by chiptorque(custom built EXIDE intercept comp) also just installed a diagnostic handset to see why the comp light comes on all the time still getting error P0300 Random Multiple Cylinder Missfires while running , but the handset allows me to veiw the problem and clear the code from the standard comp. Also still having dramas getting the idle right . I need a 2nd blow off/bypass valve before the TPS on the manafold because the boost from the turbo at idle opens the throttle butterfly slightly and causes it to do werid things like idle between 700 - 3000 RPM an the trottle get stuck open coasting arround a carpark. Overall its been a little different / difficult to build the car due to lack of tuning experence on the car and aftermarket parts avilable for the car in Auz, but its a good little sleeper embarises quite a few unsuspecting people up here (like a 300zx last night lol) But Thanks for the intrest Guyz !!
